Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Operations Lead to a vital role in supporting our clients’ manufacturing operations. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position based in Miami, FL focuses on leading production teams to meet daily operational goals in a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing environment.
Compensation:
- $21/hour
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday; 8-10 hour shifts.
- First or second shift.
- Saturdays if needed.
Key Responsibilities of the Plant Operations Lead:
- Track hourly productivity, shift staffing, and quality metrics to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor cost, overtime, and yield
- Take ownership of operational targets and coach team members to focus on achieving KPIs
- Review production schedules and plan for appropriate packaging materials and staffing needs
- Direct and assign employees as needed, enforce discipline, track attendance, and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Facilitate root-cause problem solving to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals within assigned work areas
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement
- Coach and mentor team members, including facilitating cross-training and team-driven performance initiatives
- Maintain floor organization and serve as the point-of-contact in the absence of a Supervisor or Manager
- Troubleshoot quality and equipment issues and address operational challenges
- Perform all duties ethically and responsibly
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills for the Plant Operations Lead:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Post-secondary education is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry
