Job Title: Jr. Product Designer (Jewelry)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Jr. Product Designer (Jewelry) to play a vital role in supporting jewelry design and development. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position based in New York, NY focuses on assisting with the creation and refinement of CAD designs for jewelry pieces, collaborating with senior designers, and contributing to the design-to-production process.

Compensation:
  • $75,000 – $92,000/year

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Jr. Product Designer (Jewelry):
  • Assist in developing detailed CAD designs based on design briefs and sketches
  • Use CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix) to create accurate 3D models
  • Modify and refine designs in collaboration with senior designers
  • Generate technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for manufacturing
  • Prepare renderings and visual presentations for client and internal review
  • Stay informed on industry trends, new materials, and innovative design techniques
  • Support sourcing of materials and components for prototypes and production
  • Maintain organized design files and assist with design library management
  • Provide general design team support, including administrative and coordination tasks

Qualifications and Skills for the Jr. Product Designer (Jewelry):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Rhino or Matrix
  • Strong attention to detail and technical drawing accuracy
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • Passion for jewelry design and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Experience with rendering tools (e.g., KeyShot, V-Ray) a plus
  • Knowledge of gemology and jewelry manufacturing processes preferred
  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
