Job Title: Sterile Compounding Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Specialist to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their life sciences operations. This onsite, temporary-to-hire position, based in Exton, PA, focuses on the sterile preparation of medications in a cleanroom environment, adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Compensation:
  • $27–$30/hour

Work Schedule:
  • Facility operates 24/7
  • Candidate must be available to work between 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Flexible shift selection available prior to start

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Compounding Specialist:
  • Prepare sterile medications, including IV bags, syringes, injectables, and ophthalmic/otic solutions, following aseptic techniques
  • Rotate through all work areas within the compounding lab
  • Label and package medications accurately with correct dosage and patient information
  • Maintain and sanitize cleanroom areas in accordance with USP <797> and <800> standards
  • Operate and maintain sterile compounding equipment in a sanitary fashion
  • Assist in inventory management of sterile products, bulk chemicals, and supplies
  • Ensure proper documentation of all compounded preparations and procedures
  • Support quality assurance and participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Engage in customer service and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Perform all tasks with attention to regulatory compliance, cleanliness, and accuracy
  • Wear proper protective apparel and maintain a professional appearance

Qualifications and Skills for the Sterile Compounding Specialist:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Experience with hospital or cleanroom sterile compounding highly preferred
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and cleanroom standards
  • Neonatal or injectable medication preparation experience a plus
  • Certification in sterile compounding preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand/sit for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Effective communication skills and professional demeanor
