Job Title: Production Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Manager to join our client and play a vital role in supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This onsite, direct-hire position, based in Albany, OH, focuses on overseeing and optimizing production areas, including warehousing, formulation, aseptic filling, inspection, labeling, and sanitization, while providing strong leadership and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Compensation:
  • $120,000 annually

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager:
  • Supervise and develop employees across warehousing, formulation, aseptic filling, inspection and labeling, and facility sanitization.
  • Provide strong people leadership and foster a positive work environment through effective communication, accountability, and performance management.
  • Manage time and attendance tracking for all department staff.
  • Ensure SOPs and training documentation are accurate and current.
  • Analyze production inefficiencies, downtime, waste, and errors; lead improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and document investigations and CAPA actions for departmental non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with QA to resolve issues impacting product release timelines.
  • Manage department staffing levels and budget.
  • Directly supervise two production leads; technical staff report to the leads.
  • Anticipate team growth with the addition of a production supervisor in the near term.

Qualifications and Skills for the Production Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aseptic processing and/or tablet dose manufacturing.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a cGMP, FDA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP guidelines and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and drive results.
