Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Operations Accountant to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their financial operations. This hybrid, direct-hire position, based in Fort Washington, PA, focuses on overseeing core accounting processes including accounts payable, expense reporting, and cash management. The role also includes supervising one direct report and contributing to system enhancements and operational efficiencies across departments.
Compensation:
$85,000/year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Business hours are between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Employees may start their day between 8:00–9:00 AM and end between 5:00–6:00 PM, depending on workload
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Operations Accountant:
Manage vendor bill processes, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance
Oversee bi-weekly payment disbursements, including scheduling and approvals
Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve billing issues or discrepancies
Administer corporate credit card and expense reporting systems
Supervise and support an Accounting Clerk in day-to-day functions
Assist in monthly accounts payable close, including accruals and checklist management
Perform cash management duties such as daily cash receipts, reconciliations, and returns
Contribute to cash forecasting and complete bank reconciliations
Support system implementations and continuous process improvements
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance accounting operations
Take part in special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Operations Accountant:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, expense reporting, and cash management
Proven ability to supervise and mentor a direct report
High-volume AP processing experience, including credit card management
Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems (strongly preferred)
Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to collaborate across departments and adapt to shifting priorities
