Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Representative to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their financial operations. This onsite, direct-hire position based in Exton, PA, focuses on reducing delinquency by negotiating repayment plans, collecting overdue accounts, and providing exceptional service to members facing financial hardship.
Compensation:
- $25/hour
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with two required evening shifts (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) per week
- Two Saturday shifts per month, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (subject to change)
Key Responsibilities of the Collections Representative:
- Contact members with delinquent loans or negative account balances to negotiate repayment arrangements
- Review financial information such as income, expenses, and credit reports to create feasible solutions
- Determine appropriate enforcement actions based on risk and recovery policies
- Analyze data to assist with asset recovery decisions
- Apply conflict resolution and communication skills to address member disputes calmly and professionally
- Maintain accurate documentation of all collection efforts
- Update member information across internal systems
- Counsel members on debt management and repayment strategies
- Respond to member inquiries and complaints
- Support additional administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Representative:
- Minimum of 6 months of collections and/or banking experience
- Strong understanding of financial risk mitigation and account recovery processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
