Job Title: Field Service Representative
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Service Representative to support specialized equipment maintenance and calibration operations across various client sites. This direct-hire, 100% travel role is ideal for individuals with a mechanical or electrical background and experience working hands-on with large industrial machinery. Compensation:
- North & South Regions: $75,000 base salary + monthly vehicle stipend ($8,080/year) + annual bonus equivalent to one month's salary
- West Region: $85,000 base salary + monthly vehicle stipend ($8,080/year) + annual bonus equivalent to one month's salary
- Estimated annual earnings: $96,000–$99,000
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at designated worksite
- Weekly travel required, departing Monday mornings and returning Friday
Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Representative:
- Calibrate sensors including temperature, humidity, airflow, liquid flow, differential pressure, and weight
- Conduct mechanical inspections using a 200-point checklist: evaluate motor mounts, speeds, vibration, and temperature
- Perform leak and pressure testing before and after maintenance procedures
- Execute air velocity mapping to confirm proper airflow across equipment
- Validate HEPA filters (ranging from 3 to 120+ per system) for integrity
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness and contamination standards
- Follow strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to complete detailed reports—approximately 50% of job duties
- Collaborate in teams of 2–6 technicians to complete site-based assignments, typically lasting 1–3 weeks
- Interface directly with customer teams to review documentation and gain access to testing equipment
Qualifications and Skills for the Field Service Representative:
- Associate’s degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical technology field strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with large, complex machinery (industrial, automotive, manufacturing, etc.)
- Prior experience in a role that required 100% travel is essential
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical ability
- Proficiency with multimeters, schematics, and basic understanding of ladder logic (PLC)
- Experience performing calibrations and leak testing is a plus
- Must be capable of accurately describing equipment functionality and troubleshooting approaches
- Strong documentation skills with a commitment to process accuracy and quality standards
- Candidates must reside within one hour of a major airport
