Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their laboratory operations. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position, based in Farmingdale, NY, focuses on conducting and analyzing laboratory tests across one of several key departments: Hematology, Chemistry, Molecular, or Immunology. You will be an integral part of a team supporting clinical research and diagnostic efforts by ensuring accurate testing and compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their laboratory operations. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position, based in Farmingdale, NY, focuses on conducting and analyzing laboratory tests across one of several key departments: Hematology, Chemistry, Molecular, or Immunology. You will be an integral part of a team supporting clinical research and diagnostic efforts by ensuring accurate testing and compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards.
Compensation:
- $39/hr – $55/hr, based on experience and department placement
Work Schedule:
- Hematology & Chemistry: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Senior-level openings may offer varied shifts, including Monday – Friday
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist:
- Perform and analyze laboratory tests following established protocols in your assigned department
- Operate laboratory instrumentation with care and in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Conduct quality control, equipment checks, and preventive maintenance as required
- Ensure testing accuracy through consistent documentation and adherence to quality standards
- Maintain strict adherence to unidirectional specimen handling practices to avoid contamination
- Participate in proficiency testing and maintain detailed assay tracking and reporting documentation
Qualifications and Skills for the Medical Technologist:
- Active New York State license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field preferred
- ASCP certification preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of hands-on clinical lab experience
- Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, methodologies, and compliance standards
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
