Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their complex litigation practice. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position, based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, focuses on managing high-touch, low-volume commercial litigation cases across diverse legal areas. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation and eDiscovery experience and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
$80,000 – $85,000/year, with potential bonus incentives tied to billable productivity
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours (onsite)
Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Litigation Paralegal:
Support multiple attorneys handling a broad spectrum of commercial litigation matters
Assist with all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and appeals
Conduct eDiscovery and manage document review workflows
Draft and organize legal documents, correspondence, and court filings
Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court-related communications
File legal documents with various court systems and coordinate with court staff
Maintain litigation databases and assist with document migration to NetDocs
Track and report billable hours (target of 25 billable hours/week), with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
Adapt to the unique requirements of each case, ensuring high-quality support across multiple practice areas
Qualifications and Skills for the Commercial Litigation Paralegal:
Minimum 3 years of litigation and eDiscovery experience in a law firm environment
Strong background supporting commercial litigation; experience in bankruptcy, construction, trust & estates, employment, healthcare, or corporate litigation is a plus
Demonstrated ability to support cases through trial and appeals
Familiarity with court procedures and electronic filing systems
Proficiency with legal tools and document management software (NetDocs experience a plus)
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to handle competing priorities
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with attorneys and peers
Paralegal certification or associate/bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
