Job Title: Project Manager, Field Services

Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join our client and play a pivotal role in overseeing field service operations across the Northern Virginia region. This remote, permanent/direct-hire position, based near Fairfax or Ashburn, VA, requires frequent travel to project sites and a hands-on approach to managing staffing coverage and operational continuity. The Project Manager will ensure successful execution of safety-focused projects, lead field team management, and act as a critical resource in maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance.

Compensation:
  • $125,000 – $130,000 annually
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities based on KPIs, project profitability, and company goals

Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday, standard business hours
  • Requires availability for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends depending on project needs
  • Onsite presence at job sites several days per week; must reside within ~45 minutes of Fairfax/Ashburn, VA (including rush hour traffic)

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
  • Oversee daily operations of safety service projects in assigned territory, ensuring optimal performance and compliance
  • Serve as on-call backup to field representatives when coverage is needed to prevent service disruption
  • Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate field candidates for safety knowledge, leadership potential, and culture fit
  • Coordinate hiring needs with internal stakeholders and ensure timely placement of qualified personnel
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance, addressing client concerns and personnel issues proactively
  • Support onboarding and development of field staff, including training, coaching, and career path guidance
  • Represent the company’s value proposition to potential hires, including compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities
  • Manage employee relations, performance feedback, and corrective action plans as necessary
  • Travel to client sites across Northern VA and surrounding areas, including occasional visits to locations such as Baltimore

Qualifications and Skills for the Project Manager:
  • Minimum 5 years of team management experience (10+ direct reports preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years in a project management role, preferably in a safety, construction, or field-based environment
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926 regulations, ANSI, DOT, or similar safety standards
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staffing logistics and operational execution under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client job sites as needed
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, safety, or related field; experience with Salesforce; CSP, ASP, or CHST certification
