Job Overview: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Medical Proofreader to join our client and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of healthcare marketing materials. This hybrid, temporary position based in Philadelphia, PA, supports the review and quality assurance of Medicare-related print, digital, and multimedia communications. The role may transition to a once-weekly onsite schedule after training and has the potential to convert based on performance and business needs.
Compensation:
$33.33-$40.00 per hour.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week during standard business hours
Onsite attendance required Tuesday–Thursday (equipment provided if needed; must not use Mac)
Schedule may shift to only Wednesdays onsite following the training period
Key Responsibilities of the Medical Proofreader:
Review and verify accuracy of all marketing and communication materials related to Medicare products
Ensure compliance with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines and internal quality standards
Confirm accuracy of benefits, legal disclaimers, phone numbers, codes, dates, and offer details
Proofread for spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, and adherence to style and branding guidelines
Verify all SME revisions are correctly applied to final materials
Maintain thorough understanding of communication standards to ensure consistency of tone and integrity across deliverables
Collaborate with Medicare Marketing team members to incorporate feedback and direction
Utilize multiple information sources to validate data accuracy
Qualifications and Skills for the Medical Proofreader:
Previous experience proofreading marketing content in regulated industries such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals
Familiarity with reviewing variable content in PDFs, matrix tables, and data tables
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and experience ensuring compliance with CMS or other regulatory bodies
