Job Title: Quality Technician – Aseptic

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician – Aseptic to join our client and support quality assurance processes in a high-paced manufacturing environment. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position based in Hendersonville, NC, plays a critical role in maintaining food safety and quality standards through rigorous lab testing, documentation, and production line oversight during overnight operations.

Compensation:
  • $26/hr base pay
  • $27/hr overnight shift differential
  • Eligible for a sign-on bonus

Work Schedule:
  • 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Rotating schedule: 2 days on / 3 days off / 3 days on / 2 days off

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Technician – Aseptic:
  • Conduct analytical testing on beverage products (e.g., pH, titratable acidity, °Brix, turbidity, color, and clarity)
  • Perform sensory analysis for flavor, odor, and appearance
  • Sample, test, and release raw and bulk materials
  • Conduct pre-operational line verifications and flavor/label change inspections
  • Complete hourly quality line checks and ensure accurate real-time documentation
  • Support product release processes and identify production quality issues
  • Participate in investigations and document OOS, NCRs, and Deviations
  • Execute microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products
  • Review food safety and quality incidents and verify CCP compliance
  • Assist in hold placement and disposition decisions in QAD system
  • Perform calibrations on lab and floor equipment
  • Provide QA support during rework or downtime projects
  • Monitor and report on GMP, sanitation, and safety concerns
  • Train new employees and support a strong safety culture

Qualifications and Skills for the Quality Technician – Aseptic:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or higher in food science, microbiology, or a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a food/beverage manufacturing or GMP-regulated environment
  • Experience with microbiology lab techniques strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and real-time documentation systems
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and troubleshoot on the production floor
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to build strong working relationships
