Job Title: Benefit Plan Builder

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefit Plan Builder to join our client’s team and play a key role in configuring and maintaining healthcare plan documents within internal claims systems. This 100% remote, direct-hire position is ideal for a self-motivated professional with a strong background in claims processing, plan design, and healthcare terminology.

Compensation:

  • $70,000–$80,000 annually
  • Bonus opportunities available

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Benefit Plan Builder:

  • Build and configure new benefit plans in accordance with detailed plan documentation
  • Update system settings for new group implementations and plan amendments
  • Interpret and apply benefit rules using ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes
  • Validate and align plan language with intended group benefits and system configuration
  • Respond to internal inquiries and explain plan language and configurations
  • Train and support new team members as needed
  • Participate in testing benefit setups to ensure accurate claims processing
  • Contribute to process improvement and quality assurance efforts
  • Maintain accurate documentation across related systems

Qualifications and Skills for the Benefit Plan Builder:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a Claims Examiner or in plan building
  • Familiarity with benefit administration systems such as VBA, Javelina, or GBAS preferred
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Accurate typing and 10-key skills
