Job Title: Tax Associate
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Associate to support our client’s tax department in executing projects that reduce audit exposure and ensure compliance. This onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity is based in West Chester, PA, and focuses heavily on tax compliance, data verification, process improvement, and research.
 

Compensation:
•?Up to $29.38/hour
 

Work Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, standard business hours
 

Key Responsibilities of the Tax Associate:
• Review and match product codes in virtual catalogs to ensure tax accuracy
• Prepare tax returns, filings, and disclosures in the assigned tax area
• Calculate and assist with estimated tax payments and monthly journal entries
• Maintain tax policies, SOX documentation, and procedural compliance
• Research tax regulations and provide actionable insights on complex tax issues
• Assist with audits, depreciation schedules, and compliance reporting
• Advise on tax implications of organizational actions and recommend solutions
• Identify and implement process improvements using tax technologies
• Work independently on specialized projects with minimal supervision
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Tax Associate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in tax or a related field
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, organized, and comfortable working under tight deadlines
• Working knowledge of standard tax procedures and relevant software
• Experience with MicroStrategy, Vertex, or retail sales tax is a plus
• CPA or Master’s in Tax is not required but highly desirable
