Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Accounting)
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant (Accounting) to support our client’s accounting department in ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient financial operations. This onsite, contract role based near Palm Beach, FL, plays a key part in data entry, bank reconciliation, document filing, and general administrative support within a real estate environment.
 

Compensation:

  • $17–$19/hour
 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Flexible schedule: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
 

Key Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant (Accounting):

  • Process ACH transactions and maintain accurate records of account activity
  • Manage digital filing of invoices, bank statements, deposits, and other accounting documents
  • Reconcile petty cash and verify double charge reports for customer refunds
  • Assist with data entry related to bank and credit card transactions
  • Load journal entries and update general ledgers for reconciliation purposes
  • Print and process utility bills, AP invoices, and tax documents
  • Track and process PEX funding requests and update related files
  • Assist with monthly credit card and bank statement management and sales tax file updates
  • Support invoice verification and general administrative accounting tasks as needed
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Administrative Assistant (Accounting):

  • Previous experience in an accounting support or administrative role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with digital filing systems
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
