Job Title: Project Engineer
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our client and support key construction project initiatives from start to finish. This onsite, direct-hire position based in Cincinnati, OH, plays a vital role in supporting construction and engineering teams by coordinating technical activities, managing documentation, and driving continuous improvement in project execution.
 

Compensation:

• $50,000–$90,000/year (based on experience)

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

• Manage and maintain accurate project documentation and control systems
• Lead and track RFIs, submittals, and engineering/design reviews
• Support cost and schedule management to ensure budget and timeline adherence
• Collaborate with subcontractors to develop scopes of work and oversee onboarding
• Prepare quality and safety plans for project execution
• Ensure high-quality materials are specified and represented in drawings
• Perform material takeoffs and procurement tracking
• Coordinate with site personnel on construction methods and logistics
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project alignment
• Analyze performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities
• Drive continuous improvement in project processes and documentation
• Generate and present project status updates to leadership
• Conduct compliance audits throughout the project lifecycle
• Occasional travel required

Qualifications and Skills for the Project Engineer:

• 1–3 years of experience in construction management or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Solid understanding of construction coordination and project workflows
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Procore)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to quality execution
• Experience managing project risk and implementing preventative strategies
