Job Title: Accounting Manager
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Accounting Manager to join our client’s team and provide leadership across key financial operations. This hybrid, direct-hire position based in Yulee, FL offers a flexible schedule with onsite presence typically one day per week. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in GAAP accounting, team leadership, and process improvement to support financial reporting, compliance, and strategic growth initiatives.
 

Compensation:

• $120,000 – $140,000 annual salary, plus annual bonus opportunities

 

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, standard business hours
• Hybrid: 1–3 days onsite per week, with flexibility depending on business needs

 

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including three direct reports
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and consolidation activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and internal control policies
• Review reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial results to support decision-making
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies
• Partner with auditors and third-party service providers during audits and reviews
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems
• Support ERP optimization or implementation projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory, Tax, and Financial Planning & Analysis
• Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by senior leadership

 

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls; CPA preferred
• ERP systems experience required (SAP or Oracle preferred)
• Experience in a regulated or utility-related industry is a plus
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvements
• High integrity, detail orientation, and a collaborative mindset
