Job Title: Revenue Cycle Manager (Sr. Medical Biller)
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to support our client’s healthcare operations and lead all aspects of revenue cycle management. This fully remote, contract opportunity focuses on driving financial performance and operational efficiency by overseeing medical billing workflows and leveraging advanced automation technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare revenue operations, team leadership, and process optimization.
 

Compensation:

  • $35 – $45/hour, depending on experience
 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, standard business hours (Pacific Time)
 

Key Responsibilities of the Revenue Cycle Manager:

  • Lead and manage all revenue cycle functions, including billing, collections, payment posting, denial management, and appeals
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to hospitals and health systems, including participation in meetings with CFOs and senior leadership
  • Ensure accurate medical coding practices and compliance with payer and federal guidelines
  • Improve managed care workflows and reimbursement strategies
  • Partner with clinical and administrative teams to reduce claim errors and improve revenue accuracy
  • Utilize and monitor AI-powered tools for tasks such as denials, appeals, and eligibility verifications
  • Track KPIs and revenue trends, generating reports to inform operational decisions
  • Stay informed of regulatory updates, payer changes, and coding modifications
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Revenue Cycle Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; certifications (e.g., CRCR, CPC) are a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including 2 years in a leadership role
  • Familiarity with hospital systems and executive-level stakeholders preferred
  • Proficient in medical coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and healthcare compliance
  • Skilled with practice management systems, EHRs, and revenue management tools; experience with AI automation is beneficial
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
