Job Title: Senior Accountant
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our client and support their financial operations. This permanent/direct-hire position is currently based in Sewell, NJ, with plans to relocate to Mount Laurel in Fall 2025. The role focuses on managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities, preparing monthly financial reports, and supporting internal controls and compliance.
 

Compensation:

• $100,000 – $130,000/year with bonus opportunities available

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, normal business hours
• Must be commutable to Sewell and later to Mount Laurel

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly income statements, balance sheets, and analysis reports
• Maintain full-cycle accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and fixed asset tracking
• Manage intercompany accounting and cash application
• Monitor daily cash activity and prepare cash flow analysis
• Create annual budgets in collaboration with leadership and perform variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax reporting requirements
• Support sales tax filings, external audits, and bank covenant reporting
• Assist with accounts payable, customer/supplier setup, and invoice entry
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or other accounting designation required
• 3–5 years of general accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
