Job Title: Total Rewards Specialist
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Total Rewards Specialist to join our client in a hybrid, contract-to-hire position based in Princeton, NJ. This part-time role supports key functions within the employee benefits team, including data entry, billing support, and case management. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of organization and a collaborative mindset to help ensure smooth operations in employee benefit administration.
 

Compensation:

  • $30.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience
 

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time, Monday–Thursday during standard business hours
  • Onsite 2–3 days per week
 

Key Responsibilities of the Total Rewards Specialist:

  • Provide administrative support for retirement and savings plan operations
  • Reconcile and prepare monthly invoices for health and welfare benefits
  • Enter and update employee data in HR and benefits platforms
  • Review commuter benefit reports and confirm data accuracy
  • Monitor benefit system error reports and take corrective action
  • Assist with reviewing and resolving open benefits-related cases
  • Support payroll operations in connection with benefit deductions
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Total Rewards Specialist:

  • Experience working in employee benefits, particularly with savings plans
  • Familiarity with pension plans is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels
  • Solid math and accounting abilities
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Comfort using HRIS and benefits systems and leveraging technology to improve workflows
