Job Title: Banking Collections Representative
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Banking Collections Representative to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their financial operations. This hybrid, direct-hire position based near Downingtown, PA focuses on reducing delinquency risk by working directly with account holders to resolve overdue balances and return accounts to good standing.
 
Compensation:

• $25.00/hour
• Bonus opportunities available

 
Work Schedule:

• Department hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Must be available for at least two 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM shifts per week; other days are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Two Saturday shifts per month (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) – remote
• If a Saturday is worked, employees receive 4 hours off the following week
• Initial training is onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM for approximately 5–6 weeks

 
Key Responsibilities of the Banking Collections Representative:

• Contact account holders with past-due loans or negative balances to establish payment arrangements
• Gather and evaluate financial data to develop repayment solutions
• Use collection strategies and financial analysis to reduce risk and encourage member retention
• Apply offset policies and make recommendations on asset recovery when necessary
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all member interactions and account activities
• Resolve account disputes and provide debt management counseling in a professional manner
• Keep member records updated in all relevant systems
• Complete assigned administrative duties and support the broader collections team

 
Qualifications and Skills for the Banking Collections Representative:

• At least 1 year of experience in collections or a similar financial customer service role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and professionalism
• High school diploma or equivalent required
