Job Title: Healthcare Claims Processor
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Healthcare Claims Processor to join our client and play a vital role in supporting healthcare insurance operations. This hybrid, contract-to-hire position based in Philadelphia, PA, focuses on processing and adjusting facility and ancillary claims accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong claims knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
 

Compensation:

• Up to $32.17/hour

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, normal business hours (37.5-hour workweek)
• Hybrid schedule: required to be onsite Tuesday through Thursday

Key Responsibilities of the Healthcare Claims Processor:

• Accurately process and adjust claims submitted by members and providers
• Research adjustment requests from both internal and external sources
• Perform provider payable claim payment adjustments in line with processing guidelines
• Investigate and recover incorrect payments, including both overpayments and underpayments
• Respond professionally to inquiries and provide timely updates and resolutions
• Meet departmental productivity and quality benchmarks
• Complete special projects and participate in assigned work groups
• Carry out additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills for the Healthcare Claims Processor:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2–4 years of experience processing FEP claims in a production environment
• Proficiency with FEP Direct Application for claims adjustment
• Demonstrated math, comprehension, and investigative skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with multiple systems and sources to resolve complex claims issues
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills for handling customer and team interactions
