Job Title: HRIS & Payroll Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HRIS & Payroll Specialist to join our client and play a vital role in managing payroll operations and HRIS administration. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position based in Philadelphia, PA focuses on leading payroll processes, optimizing HRIS functionality (Paycor), and delivering actionable people analytics as the organization scales.
Compensation:
- $130,000–$150,000, depending on experience
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM); some flexibility available
Key Responsibilities of the HRIS & Payroll Specialist:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Paycor, managing system configuration, administration, and user support
- Oversee the implementation and enhancement of the HRIS platform, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external support
- Ensure seamless integration between HRIS and other internal systems, such as finance and benefits
- Lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies
- Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies and provide support for payroll-related inquiries
- Establish and maintain payroll procedures, controls, and audit practices
- Track and report on key human capital metrics and provide strategic insights through data analytics
- Maintain and improve dashboards and reporting tools in collaboration with IT and HR
- Manage and develop a team of HRIS and payroll professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications and Skills for the HRIS & Payroll Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
- 7+ years of payroll management experience, including executive-level payroll
- 5+ years of HRIS administration experience, with a strong preference for Paycor expertise
- Deep understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and compliance
- Proven ability to handle complex compensation structures and payroll integration
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools
- Experience with additional HRIS or payroll platforms is a plus
