Job Title: Product Support Specialist (Medical Device / Pharma)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Product Support Specialist to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their spare parts operations. This 100% onsite, permanent/direct-hire position based in Raleigh, NC, focuses on managing technical spare parts, customer support, and data-driven inventory planning within the medical device and pharmaceutical industry.
Compensation:
• $60,000 – $70,000 annually
Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Product Support Specialist:
• Prepare and process quotations for spare parts in response to customer inquiries
• Prioritize and initiate spare parts orders to ensure timely dispatch
• Provide proactive customer service to enhance satisfaction and identify sales opportunities
• Identify stock material needs and define appropriate safety stock levels based on forecasted demand
• Analyze usage data in SAP to support demand planning and preventive maintenance efforts
• Develop and improve spare parts management processes for operational efficiency
• Create, manage, and track warranties to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Lead reporting and data visualization initiatives using tools like Power BI connected to SAP
• Review and update spare parts packages to ensure accurate part selection and quantities
• Track open offers and collaborate with sales managers to follow up on unconverted quotes
• Research and identify last-buy options for discontinued parts
• Support sales efforts by preparing sales forecasts and promoting spare parts packages
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address limited-availability inventory challenges
Qualifications and Skills for the Product Support Specialist:
• Previous customer service or sales support experience, ideally in a technical environment
• Strong working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and interpreting technical documentation
• Background in regulated industries (e.g., GMP) is a plus
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical thinker with a structured problem-solving approach
• Technical understanding of products in the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors preferred
