Job Title: Staff Accountant
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client and support core accounting operations in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position, based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, focuses on general ledger support, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounts payable processing.
 

Compensation:
• $65,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on experience
 

Work Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
• Flexibility with start/end times during the week
• Overtime may be required during month-end close
 

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
• Support timely and accurate month-end close processes
• Maintain proper recordkeeping of purchases for tax preparation and audits
• Perform general ledger tasks across multiple entities
• Prepare and load journal entries and maintain accruals
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and analyze key balance sheet accounts
• Research and explain reconciling items to management
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, and payment processing
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies
• Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve payment issues
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Staff Accountant:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Sage, QuickBooks, or Avid Exchange is a plus
• Reliable, adaptable, and maintains a high level of personal integrity
