Job Title: Collections Representative
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Representative to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their student finance operations. This 100% remote, contract-to-hire position is open to candidates located within 50 miles of the Philadelphia area. In this role, you will focus on reaching out to students with older tuition balances to offer flexible payment plans and encourage resolution through personalized outreach—no auto-dialer is used.
 

Compensation:
• $17.00 – $17.50/hour
 

Work Schedule:
• Monday–Thursday: Two day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and two evening shifts (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Two Saturdays/month, candidate's choice (8:00 AM – 11:45 AM)
• 30-minute lunch break included each day
 

Key Responsibilities of the Collections Representative:
• Contact students and co-signers to resolve overdue tuition balances
• Offer and explain flexible repayment plans for aging accounts
• Communicate terms of enrollment and related financial agreements
• Document collection activities and outcomes in internal systems
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures related to collections
• Notify co-signers of obligations when applicable
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Representative:
• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret procedural documents and apply policy consistently
• Comfortable making high call volumes (approx. 150 calls/day)
