Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our client and play a vital role in supporting financial planning and analysis for IT projects and initiatives. This fully remote, contract position focuses on evaluating IT investments, optimizing costs, and providing key financial insights to support informed decision-making.

Compensation:
• $41.00-$46.00 per hour based on experience. 

Work Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:
• Develop and manage IT budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze actual vs. planned IT spending and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models to assess the impact of IT initiatives and investments.
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.
• Offer strategic financial insights to support technology investment decisions.
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to gather data and communicate financial information effectively.
• Provide financial guidance throughout the IT project lifecycle, including forecasting and performance tracking.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor IT spending trends to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills for the Financial Analyst:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of financial analysis experience, ideally supporting IT departments or initiatives.
• Proficient in Excel and other financial modeling and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capable of managing multiple deadlines and working collaboratively across teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to recommend process improvements.
