Job Title: Talent Acquisition Onboarding Coordinator
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a service-oriented and detail-driven Talent Acquisition Onboarding Coordinator to support recruitment and onboarding efforts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This hybrid, contract-to-hire position based near Trenton, NJ involves greeting new hires, coordinating onboarding tasks, and supporting recruitment functions in collaboration with HR and compliance teams. The ideal candidate thrives on providing excellent service, juggling multiple priorities, and contributing to a positive candidate experience.
 

Compensation:
• $23 – $25/hour (based on experience)
 

Work Schedule:
• Monday – Friday, standard business hours
• Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 remote day per week after training
• Onsite presence required every Monday
 

Key Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Onboarding Coordinator:
• Welcome and assist new hires on their first day, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
• Collaborate with compliance and HR teams to complete onboarding documentation and tasks
• Maintain accurate records of all onboarding steps and ensure data entry across systems
• Coordinate pre-employment screenings including background checks, references, fingerprinting, and assessments
• Schedule interviews, manage applicant correspondence, and provide general information to candidates
• Prepare offer letters and ensure timely setup of IT and workstation needs
• Participate in campus or community hiring events as needed
• Maintain personnel files and uphold compliance with I-9 and HR documentation requirements
• Assist recruiters and hiring managers by screening resumes and referring qualified applicants
• Support recruitment and onboarding initiatives with special projects and reporting
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Talent Acquisition Onboarding Coordinator:
• 2–3 years of administrative or HR-related experience, including recent onboarding or talent acquisition support
• Ability to manage high volume and shifting priorities with professionalism
• Strong interpersonal skills and a welcoming, service-focused approach
• Excellent clerical, organizational, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office)
• Comfortable handling sensitive information and working with individuals who are not yet active employees
• Eager to learn, proactive, assertive, and adaptable to feedback
• Knowledge of HR systems and ATS platforms is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required; recruiting experience preferred
