Job Title: Claims Intake Specialist
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Claims Intake Specialist to join our client in a remote capacity. This temporary role, based in the Eastern Standard Time zone, plays a key part in ensuring claims are entered accurately into internal systems, with all necessary documentation properly maintained. The position is highly data-entry focused and requires strong attention to detail to support daily production goals and compliance standards.
 

Compensation:
• $18/hour
 

Work Schedule:
• Monday through Friday
• Training schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM for 2–3 weeks
• After training: Flexible 8-hour shifts, starting as early as 6:00 AM and ending as late as 5:30 PM
 

Key Responsibilities of the Claims Intake Specialist:
• Accurately enter claims into the system on a daily basis
• Attach appropriate supporting documentation to claims files
• Maintain accuracy and compliance in all work performed
• Learn and utilize proprietary claims processing software
• Consistently meet performance objectives, including daily claim targets
• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by leadership
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Claims Intake Specialist:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience with medical claims or insurance strongly preferred
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Commitment to learning new systems and processes
• Experience in healthcare or insurance industries is a plus
