Job Title: Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their mortgage servicing operations. This hybrid, direct-hire position based in Ewing, NJ focuses on managing early-stage delinquent loans, assisting customers with repayment solutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience through timely and effective resolution of inquiries.

- Hybrid schedule – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote (Fridays after training)
Key Responsibilities of the Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent:
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls related to mortgage payment collections, repayment plans, and delinquency resolution.
- Manage loans within the early delinquency range, ensuring timely follow-up and action.
- Research and resolve customer inquiries and complaints with a focus on first-call resolution.
- Monitor account status and initiate collection activities by notifying borrowers and cosigners of delinquency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Promote available programs and services to encourage retention and resolution.
- Work within a structured, fast-paced environment while meeting performance metrics for quality, productivity, and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Assist with specialized projects or campaigns as assigned.
- Maintain strict adherence to policies, regulations, and ethical standards in all business decisions.
Qualifications and Skills for the Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or additional education a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage servicing or a collections call center.
- Knowledge of general mortgage banking practices preferred.
- Proven ability to meet performance metrics consistently.
- Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to de-escalate and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic, including reliability with schedules and deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to change in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to compliance and operational risk.
