Job Title: Mailroom Administrator
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mailroom Administrator to join our client and play a vital role in supporting daily office operations. This onsite, contract position based in Camden, NJ, focuses on managing incoming and outgoing mail, completing courier tasks, and assisting with general office support to ensure efficiency and organization.
Compensation:
• $18 – $20/hour
Work Schedule:
• Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Mailroom Administrator:
• Operate postage equipment and shipping systems, process incoming mail, and distribute appropriately.
• Collect, prepare, and send outgoing mail and packages using postage meters and scales.
• Deliver internal correspondence, parcels, and bank deposits to designated locations.
• Assist with office support including stocking copy rooms, setting up conference rooms, and supporting office moves.
• Operate a motor vehicle to complete messenger tasks such as transporting mail, documents, parts, and equipment.
• Safely handle and lift packages and cartons up to 50 pounds using material handling equipment.
• Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and quality in all mailroom and support tasks.
Qualifications and Skills for the Mailroom Administrator:
• Valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and clean driving record required.
• Ability to routinely lift and transport packages weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions and respond effectively to direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across departments.
