Job Title: Commercial Credit Analyst
 

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to join our client to support underwriting activities and strengthen decision-making for small business lending. Based in the King of Prussia, PA area, this contract role offers the opportunity to analyze financial health, evaluate creditworthiness, and contribute to risk assessments for loans up to $5 million. The analyst will collaborate closely with senior staff to deliver accurate credit assessments and ensure sound portfolio management. This position is ideal for someone with prior commercial lending experience who enjoys hands-on analysis and supporting relationship-driven banking.
 

Compensation:
$36 – $38.50/hour
 

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, standard business hours
 

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Credit Analyst:
• Conduct financial reviews by analyzing statements, tax returns, and other borrower data to assess repayment capacity and risk.
• Prepare credit analyses and underwriting memorandums to support loan committee decision-making.
• Partner with relationship and portfolio managers to structure loan recommendations and provide underwriting support.
• Communicate with clients, prospects, and financial advisors to gather information and complete due diligence.
• Monitor existing credit facilities and loan covenants to identify potential risk exposure and ensure compliance.
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Commercial Credit Analyst:
• Background in commercial banking with direct experience in small business lending; consumer or mortgage experience does not align with this role.
• 1–3 years of credit risk or underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and project business performance.
• Excellent communication abilities to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience is highly valued.
