Job Title: Estates Paralegal
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Estates Paralegal to join our client to support attorneys and clients in the management of estate planning and administration matters. This direct-hire role, based in Philadelphia, PA, offers a hybrid work arrangement and involves handling cases from initial filing through post-mortem planning. The Estates Paralegal will play a critical role in preparing tax documents, coordinating communications with beneficiaries and advisors, and ensuring all processes comply with applicable laws and deadlines. Compensation:
$65,000 – $72,000/year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Estates Paralegal:
• Manage the full lifecycle of estate administration, including probate filings, distributions, and ongoing case maintenance.
• Prepare and file federal and state fiduciary income tax returns and estate tax returns with accuracy and compliance.
• Draft and finalize estate planning documents in partnership with attorneys.
• Act as the primary point of contact between attorneys, clients, financial advisors, and beneficiaries to ensure efficient communication and smooth case progression.
• Maintain organized case records and documentation to support timely and accurate legal processes.
Qualifications and Skills for the Estates Paralegal:
• 2–5 years of experience working in trusts and estates law.
• Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program preferred; equivalent experience also considered.
• Strong knowledge of estate and trust administration procedures and requirements.
• Proficiency in preparing fiduciary income tax returns and estate tax returns.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with document management systems such as iManage is a plus.
• Ability to balance independent work with collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
