Job Title: BSA Investigator
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a BSA Investigator to join our client to support critical efforts in detecting and preventing financial crimes. In this role, you’ll review escalated alerts, conduct in-depth investigations into suspicious activity, and prepare reports that ensure compliance with federal banking regulations. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, a solid understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, detail-driven environment. This is a contract opportunity based in Wilmington, DE, working onsite four days per week.
Compensation:
$32–$37 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities of the BSA Investigator:
• Conduct thorough investigations into escalated alerts, transactions, and enhanced due diligence reports to identify potential money laundering or terrorist financing activity.
• Analyze customer information, account data, and transactional patterns using internal systems to detect unusual behavior and ensure appropriate escalation and documentation.
• Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and related documentation in alignment with BSA/AML laws, the USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather additional data and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain awareness of emerging financial crime trends and continuously apply best practices to strengthen risk mitigation efforts.
Qualifications and Skills for the BSA Investigator:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
• 3–5 years of experience in BSA/AML case investigation and SAR preparation within the banking industry.
• Proficiency with AML monitoring systems (such as Verafin) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of financial crime typologies, BSA/AML regulations, and OFAC compliance standards.
• Exceptional analytical, investigative, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
