Job Title: Order Processing Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Order Processing Specialist to join our client to support accurate and efficient entry of customer orders within a fast-paced, product-driven environment. This role begins with a strong focus on data accuracy and system navigation, offering hands-on experience in managing orders, validating shipping and billing details, and ensuring timely fulfillment. Over time, successful team members may advance into more customer-facing responsibilities as they gain expertise in the systems and product lines. This is a contract-to-hire position based in Houston, TX, offering hybrid flexibility—training is fully remote, then shifts to onsite one day per week (Tuesday or Thursday).
Compensation:
$19.00/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST
Key Responsibilities of the Order Processing Specialist:
• Accurately enter, update, and verify customer orders within multiple internal systems to ensure all information required for shipment and billing is complete.
• Collaborate with internal customer service teams to confirm order details, address discrepancies, and maintain smooth workflow between departments.
• Communicate with customers as needed to clarify order information, resolve address or payment issues, and confirm delivery details.
• Learn and navigate various software tools—including CRMs, ERP systems, and order management platforms—to process transactions efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying system errors, escalating issues appropriately, and maintaining documentation in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications and Skills for the Order Processing Specialist:
• Previous experience in order entry, data processing, or customer service within a professional setting.
• Strong technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Zendesk is preferred but not required.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously and learn new software quickly.
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
