Job Title: Exports / Imports Coordinator (Oceanic)
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Exports / Imports Coordinator (Oceanic) to join our client to support international logistics operations across the Latin American region. This direct-hire position, based in West Palm Beach, Florida, plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant import/export shipments while delivering outstanding customer service. The coordinator will collaborate with freight forwarders, brokers, and internal departments to streamline order processing, maintain documentation accuracy, and strengthen relationships with Spanish-speaking clients and partners.
Compensation:
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Exports / Imports Coordinator (Oceanic):
• Process and manage international and domestic freight orders, returns, and exchanges in compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.
• Coordinate all aspects of ocean freight, including bookings, documentation, and customs filings, ensuring adherence to international trade and safety standards.
• Collaborate with logistics, sales, and regulatory teams to ensure accurate communication and smooth execution of customer shipments.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients and brokers, providing responsive and professional support throughout the shipping process.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export requirements, hazardous material regulations, and global logistics best practices.
• Accurately document transactions, maintain confidential customer information, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Qualifications and Skills for the Exports / Imports Coordinator (Oceanic):
• Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in ocean freight imports/exports, preferably within a freight forwarding environment.
• Familiarity with Latin American customs procedures and international trade compliance.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of U.S. customs documentation and hazardous material handling preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration within a team-oriented environment.
