Job Title: Healthcare Customer Service Representative
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our client to support Medicare members during the Annual Enrollment Period by delivering exceptional assistance, education, and guidance on healthcare plan options. In this role, you’ll help callers understand coverage details, navigate enrollment decisions, and ensure each interaction is handled with professionalism and accuracy. Compensation:
$17.50 per hour
Work Schedule:
Annual Enrollment Period: Flexible for any shift within 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, seven days a week (five days scheduled per week).
After March: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities of the Healthcare Customer Service Representative:
• Handle a high volume of inbound calls from Medicare beneficiaries, providing clear, accurate, and empathetic support.
• Educate callers on plan benefits, coverage options, and enrollment timelines to guide them through the decision-making process.
• Accurately document call details and maintain up-to-date records in internal systems.
• Identify complex inquiries and escalate issues to the appropriate department when needed to ensure timely resolution.
• Consistently meet or exceed quality metrics, including call accuracy, handle time, and compliance standards (HIPAA).
• Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment by maintaining a positive and reliable work ethic during peak enrollment season.
Qualifications and Skills for the Healthcare Customer Service Representative:
• Previous experience in Medicare or healthcare insurance customer service required.
• Comfortable working with both auto-dialers and manual dialing systems.
• Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail for data entry and system documentation.
• Reliable, professional, and able to maintain composure in a high-volume call environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills with a patient, service-minded approach.
