Job Title: Workers’ Compensation Paralegal

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our client to support a high-volume caseload within their Delaware Workers’ Compensation group. This position plays a key role in assisting attorneys with case preparation, document management, and communication across all stages of the claims process. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of workers’ compensation procedures. This is a direct hire position based in New Castle, DE, offering a hybrid work schedule.

Compensation:
Up to $75,000 annually, depending on experience.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities of the Workers’ Compensation Paralegal:

  • Support Case Management: Coordinate and track a high volume of workers’ compensation cases from initiation through resolution, ensuring deadlines and filing requirements are met.

  • Document & Records Handling: Obtain, review, and summarize medical records and other case documentation; draft and organize legal documents such as petitions, motions, discovery requests, and medical chronologies.

  • Litigation Assistance: Prepare and file legal documents with the state’s workers’ compensation board or courts; maintain up-to-date case files and support attorneys during hearings or depositions.

  • Billing & Time Tracking: Maintain accurate daily time entries to meet billing requirements and ensure compliance with firm standards.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with attorneys, clients, expert witnesses, medical providers, and court personnel to exchange information and facilitate case progress.

Qualifications and Skills for the Workers’ Compensation Paralegal:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in workers’ compensation law.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced legal environment.

  • Experience handling medical records, including organization, summaries, and discovery production.

  • Familiarity with Lexis and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent attention to detail, written communication, and client service skills.

  • Prior billing and time entry experience required.
