Job Title: Account Executive (Commercial Lines)
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Account Executive (Commercial Lines) to join our client to drive business growth and strengthen agency partnerships across the Maryland and Delaware markets. In this role, you will manage strategic relationships with brokers and agencies, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate with underwriting teams to deliver competitive insurance solutions. This position is ideal for a self-motivated, relationship-driven professional who thrives on building strong networks and achieving measurable sales results. This is a direct-hire opportunity based in Middletown, DE, requiring regular local travel throughout the region.
Compensation:
$90,000 – $100,000 annually, plus incentives
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Account Executive (Commercial Lines):
Develop and grow distribution partnerships by identifying, appointing, and onboarding new agencies and brokers within the Maryland and Delaware territories.
Cultivate strong relationships with existing partners through consistent communication, renewal discussions, and business planning to drive new sales and retention opportunities.
Collaborate with underwriting and internal teams to review competitor offerings, ensure pricing competitiveness, and deliver tailored insurance solutions that meet client needs.
Lead market engagement initiatives, including attending key sales meetings, industry events, and community functions to strengthen brand visibility and promote business growth.
Monitor and manage performance metrics across assigned agencies, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Skills for the Account Executive (Commercial Lines):
5+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales, marketing, or account management, preferably within the Maryland or Delaware markets.
Proven success building and maintaining agency/broker relationships and achieving business growth targets.
In-depth knowledge of standard commercial lines products, rating procedures, and underwriting practices.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with CRM or policy management systems is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Active producer license or ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe.
