Job Title: Collections & Deductions Analyst

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collections & Deductions Analyst to join our client to support accurate account reconciliation and ensure timely resolution of customer payment issues. This role focuses on investigating disputed invoices, validating deductions, and analyzing account activity across a high-volume portfolio. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to reduce credit risk, strengthen financial controls, and improve overall A/R performance. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

Compensation:
$28/hr

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)

Key Responsibilities of the Collections & Deductions Analyst:

• Research and resolve disputed invoices, short-payments, and deduction claims to ensure accurate A/R balances.
• Monitor account activity, assess credit exposure, review past-due items, and support decisions on order holds or releases.
• Review aging, cash application details, refunds, offsets, and potential write-offs to maintain accurate customer account status.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Logistics, and leadership teams to communicate account risks, secure payments, and resolve escalations.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and documentation requirements; support audit activities.
• Produce recurring and ad-hoc financial reports, identify trends, and recommend actions such as payment plans or bad debt resolutions.

Qualifications and Skills for the Collections & Deductions Analyst:

• Background in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related experience that supports success in A/R analysis.
• Strong experience working with large A/R systems such as SAP or Oracle, along with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, V-lookups).
• Proven ability to manage high-volume dispute resolution, cash application research, and vendor portal navigation.
• Familiarity with GAAP and SOX standards within a regulated or publicly traded environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and support global teams.
