Job Title: Collections Representative

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collections Representative to join our client to support the resolution of past-due mortgage accounts and help guide customers toward successful repayment solutions. In this remote, temporary role, you will play a key part in minimizing portfolio risk by engaging directly with borrowers and coordinating next steps. This position focuses on delivering empathetic yet compliant account servicing while driving strong performance outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure each customer receives consistent, accurate, and timely support.

Compensation:
$16.00/hour

Work Schedule:
5 days per week, 8-hour shifts within the hours of operation: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–9 PM; Saturday, 8 AM–3 PM.

Key Responsibilities of the Collections Representative:

• Engage with borrowers through phone, email, and written outreach to address delinquent accounts and encourage repayment.
• Develop and negotiate repayment strategies that align with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
• Document all interactions and maintain precise account records to support accurate servicing and reporting.
• Manage a designated borrower portfolio, monitor risk indicators, and escalate complex or high-risk accounts as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent servicing and ensure compliance with federal and investor regulations.

Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Representative:

• Background in mortgage servicing, collections, or a call center environment, typically supported by 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of mortgage products, servicing platforms, and key regulatory frameworks.
• Clear, confident communication skills paired with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a structured, fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
• Comfort with schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and servicing systems.
• A degree in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial, and bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.
• Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV
