Job Title: Mortgage Closer

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mortgage Closer to join our client to support the end-to-end completion of residential loans and ensure an efficient, compliant closing experience. This role is based in Exton, PA and is a temporary opportunity. The Mortgage Closer will play a key role in coordinating closing activities, validating documentation, and partnering with borrowers and internal teams to move loans smoothly to funding. This position offers an engaging blend of customer contact, document review, and operational accuracy.

Compensation:
$22–$25/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Mortgage Closer:

  • Oversee the full closing workflow, ensuring loan files meet all requirements from clear-to-close through post-closing submission.
  • Review key documents—including approvals, disclosures, title reports, rate locks, and closing instructions—to confirm accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
  • Coordinate settlement activities by partnering with borrowers, processors, originators, realtors, title companies, and other stakeholders to schedule and deliver all required closing components.
  • Prepare and finalize closing packages, including CDs, funding authorizations, wire requests, and federally timed borrower communications.
  • Conduct notarial duties (including RON closings, when applicable) and support additional administrative or follow-up activities to ensure thorough documentation and loan readiness.

Qualifications and Skills for the Mortgage Closer:

  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending practices, TRID guidelines, and industry requirements, including familiarity with Fannie Mae, PMI, and credit union processes.
  • Prior experience in mortgage closing (2+ years preferred) with proficiency in loan origination or closing systems such as Encompass and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain Notary Public credentials; RON capability and a suitable remote workspace if performing online closings.
  • Solid analytical, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple files, solve issues proactively, and maintain accuracy throughout the closing cycle.
  • NMLS registration (or willingness to obtain).
