Job Title: Claims Specialist

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Claims Specialist to join our client to support the preparation, review, and submission of HUD assignment claim packages. This role ensures loan files meet HUD requirements, deadlines are consistently met, and all documentation is complete and accurate. You’ll partner with internal teams to gather missing information, resolve exceptions, and maintain data integrity across core systems. This position contributes to a smooth claims workflow and supports key operational goals.

Compensation:
$23.00/hour

Work Schedule:
M–F, 8:30AM – 5:00PM

Key Responsibilities of the Claims Specialist:

• Research exceptions preventing loan assignment and identify appropriate correction steps.

• Prepare, review, and verify assignment packages for completeness and adherence to HUD guidelines.

• Submit finalized claim packages to HUD, track approvals, and follow up on outstanding items to meet required timelines.

• Enter and maintain accurate data across internal systems to support claims processing and reporting needs.

• Assist with additional projects, reporting, and departmental tasks while managing time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Skills for the Claims Specialist:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.

• Knowledge of HUD regulations, with HECM experience considered a plus.

• 2–5 years of experience in mortgage quality control, servicing, or a similar function.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret legal, financial, and loan documents.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Excel.

• Ability to manage high volume, shifting priorities, and independent tasks.
