Job Title: Bilingual Immigration Unit Receptionist

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Bilingual Immigration Unit Receptionist to join our client to support the delivery of critical front-desk and administrative services for individuals seeking immigration assistance. Working onsite in Jacksonville, FL, this temporary-to-hire role ensures applicants are welcomed, guided, and connected to the resources they need while keeping daily operations running smoothly. The Receptionist will manage appointment coordination, facilitate communication between clients and case staff, and assist with maintaining organized, accurate case records. This position plays a key role in creating a positive, dependable experience for a high-volume, client-focused environment.

Compensation:
$20–$22/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (37.5-hour work week)

Key Responsibilities of the Bilingual Immigration Unit Receptionist:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for applicants by greeting visitors, conducting preliminary intake, and maintaining an organized and accurate appointment calendar.
  • Support client communication by answering incoming calls, routing inquiries, drafting correspondence, and assisting with follow-up across phone and email.
  • Assist case handlers by preparing documents, opening new cases in the system, and helping maintain orderly digital and physical files.
  • Coordinate interpreting needs, including using phone-based interpreter services and providing Spanish/English interpretation for staff as needed.
  • Manage daily administrative tasks such as mail handling, copying, filing, and ensuring office activities run efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills for the Bilingual Immigration Unit Receptionist:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with strong communication skills across phone, email, and in-person client interactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, client-heavy environment.
  • Experience in a receptionist, administrative support, or customer-service role (1 year preferred), with comfort navigating busy or high-stress situations.
  • Ability to quickly learn processes and systems, including legal or case-management software; experience in an immigration-focused setting is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling documentation and case information.
