Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our client to support homeowners with mortgage-related inquiries and maintain smooth loan processes. This remote, direct-hire role allows candidates based in select states (FL, TN, GA, KY, AL, OH, WV, VA, SC, MD, TX, AR, NC) to engage directly with customers, providing timely and professional assistance. The ideal candidate will navigate complex conversations, balance multiple tasks simultaneously, and contribute to a high-performing, regulated call environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential to deliver excellent service and maintain compliance.

Compensation:
$16.00/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 11:30am–8:00pm EST, with one Saturday every four weeks, 9:00am–3:30pm

Key Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative:

  • Deliver professional and empathetic support to customers regarding mortgage inquiries, escrow, PMI, and loan maintenance while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Effectively manage high volumes of inbound calls and emails, utilizing proprietary systems and resources to provide accurate and timely solutions.
  • Maintain composure and apply de-escalation strategies when handling challenging conversations with customers.
  • Organize, reference, and apply training materials and documentation to support multitasking and problem resolution.
  • Monitor and meet performance metrics consistently in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications and Skills for the Customer Service Representative:

  • Experience in mortgage, financial services, or homeownership knowledge preferred to navigate terminology and processes effectively.
  • Proficiency with computers and ability to learn proprietary systems quickly, including automated dialers and customer data tracking platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to access information efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain focus on KPIs, and adapt to varying call volumes and service demands.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including professional email etiquette and collaboration with colleagues and management.
