Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge / Director of Cleanroom Operations

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge / Director of Cleanroom Operations to join our client to lead the launch, oversight, and continuous improvement of sterile compounding operations. This role drives the safe, compliant, and high-quality production of peptide and injectable products while shaping the pharmacy’s long-term operational framework. The selected leader will guide cleanroom performance, implement quality systems, and mentor a growing team to uphold best-in-class standards. This is an onsite, direct hire opportunity based in Harleysville, PA, supporting both daily operations and future strategic expansion.

Compensation:
$160,000

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours (onsite), with occasional flexibility during peak operational periods.


Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist in Charge / Director of Cleanroom Operations:

Lead Sterile Compounding & Production Excellence
Oversee all sterile compounding activities for peptides and GLP-1 products, ensuring accuracy, safety, and alignment with regulatory standards.

Build and Maintain Quality Systems & SOP Framework
Create, revise, and implement comprehensive SOPs, workflows, documentation protocols, and quality procedures to support compliant pharmacy operations.

Oversee Cleanroom Operations, Monitoring & Audit Readiness
Manage environmental monitoring, equipment oversight, and readiness for inspections or audits, ensuring the cleanroom consistently meets compliance requirements.

Drive Operational Setup & Facility Readiness
Support early-stage buildout, equipment selection, process design, and strategic planning to prepare the facility for current and future production demands.

Train, Mentor & Support Team Development
Provide hands-on training, define best practices, and partner with leadership on staffing, interview participation, and long-term growth initiatives as the pharmacy evolves.


Qualifications and Skills for the Pharmacist in Charge / Director of Cleanroom Operations:

Extensive Sterile Compounding Expertise
10+ years of sterile compounding experience, ideally involving complex injectables such as peptides or GLP-1 formulations.

Deep Knowledge of Regulatory & Cleanroom Standards
Rich understanding of USP <797> guidelines, sterile formulations, and cleanroom operations; familiarity with USP <800> is highly valued.

Proven Ability to Design Quality & Operational Systems
Experience developing SOPs, quality protocols, and documentation practices that support a compliant, audit-ready environment.

Leadership in Both Production & Operational Functions
Background overseeing production teams, managing operational workflows, and supporting strategic decision-making alongside leadership.

Commitment to Onsite Collaboration & Long-Term Growth
Ability to work onsite in Harleysville, PA, maintain flexible hours when needed, and contribute to the company’s future—including its transition into a closed-door pharmacy model.
