Job Title: CFO

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a CFO to join our client to guide long-term financial strategy, strengthen internal controls, and ensure strong fiscal stewardship across the organization. This leader will oversee all financial operations while partnering with executives to align financial planning with organizational goals. The CFO will shape budget strategy, manage regulatory compliance, and maintain transparent reporting that supports internal teams and external partners. This direct-hire role is based onsite in Jacksonville, FL.

Compensation:
$90,000 – $110,000

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the CFO:

Strategic Financial Leadership
Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Provide clear insights and financial guidance to the executive team and board.

Financial Operations & Compliance Oversight
Manage all core accounting functions, including AP, cash receipts, and general ledger activities. Ensure accuracy in reporting and adherence to GAAP, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.

Grant, Contract & Funding Compliance
Oversee financial compliance for government contracts and private grants. Support grant budgeting and ensure timely, accurate reporting across all funding sources.

Cash Flow, Reporting & Internal Controls
Optimize cash flow, manage banking relationships, and maintain strong internal controls. Deliver routine and ad hoc financial reports to leadership to support decision-making.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
Supervise accounting staff, provide coaching and development, and foster strong customer service to internal departments. Collaborate across HR, operations, technology, development, and program teams to ensure cohesive financial practices.

Qualifications and Skills for the CFO:

5–7 years of broad finance experience, ideally covering nonprofit or multi-funder environments, including oversight of accounting and compliance functions.

Experience with accounting software systems, database management, and advanced Excel skills.

CPA or MBA preferred; equivalent professional experience is also valued.

Exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills that support collaboration across all levels.

Background in grant management and reporting is preferred.
