Account Resolution Specialist
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Account Resolution Specialist to join our client to support loan resolution efforts through proactive outreach and customer-focused solutions. This role centers on connecting with former students to understand delinquency causes and guide them toward appropriate repayment or relief options. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, persistence, and attention to detail in a high-volume contact environment. This is a remote (EST), temp-to-hire opportunity ideal for individuals with collections or customer service experience who enjoy problem-solving and helping customers move forward.
$16.50/hour
Monday–Friday, normal business hours (EST)
Conduct high-volume outbound and inbound outreach via phone, mail, and third-party contacts to engage borrowers regarding past-due federal student loans.
Assess borrower situations, identify reasons for delinquency, and explain available repayment, deferment, forbearance, or consolidation options.
Prepare and send written correspondence and required documentation to support loan resolution and confirm repayment arrangements.
Research and update borrower demographic and contact information through loan servicer systems to ensure accurate records.
Document all borrower interactions, loan status updates, and outcomes in internal databases with accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate in skip tracing efforts and participate in virtual campaigns to locate and engage unresponsive borrowers while maintaining compliance standards.
High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
Prior experience in collections, call center, or customer service environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
Ability to interpret procedures, follow written and verbal instructions, and apply sound judgment in borrower interactions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft-based systems and comfort navigating multiple platforms.
Professional demeanor with a customer-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
