Job Title: Logistics Analyst

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Logistics Analyst to join our client to support the coordination, tracking, and analysis of ocean freight movements that keep supply chains running smoothly. This temporary role is based onsite in Camden, NJ and plays a key part in ensuring shipment accuracy, timely delivery, and cost control across ocean and drayage operations. The Logistics Analyst will partner closely with carriers, service providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and deliver reliable logistics data. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with detailed information, and collaborating across multiple stakeholders.

Compensation:
$22 – $27/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST

Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Analyst:

• Oversee the tracking and entry of container milestones to ensure shipment visibility and accurate logistics records
• Coordinate delivery order releases and collaborate with carriers to support on-time container movement and transit reporting
• Manage the resolution of demurrage and detention issues by investigating root causes and working with service partners on timely solutions
• Maintain current shipping schedules by monitoring port and carrier updates and validating routing information
• Analyze logistics data and develop Excel-based reports to support operational and financial decision-making
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external vendors regarding shipment status, billing questions, and logistics inquiries

Qualifications and Skills for the Logistics Analyst:

• Hands-on experience supporting ocean freight operations, with exposure to ports, drayage, and containerized shipping environments
• A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred; comparable experience in a global or logistics-focused organization will also be considered
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools, along with comfort handling data entry and reporting tasks
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with carriers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
• Well-organized and process-oriented, with the ability to follow established procedures while contributing to their improvement
• Exposure to billing, audits, accounts payable/receivable, or operational logistics functions is a plus
