Job Title: Healthcare Call Center Representative

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Healthcare Call Center Representative to join our client and provide exceptional support to members during the open enrollment season. In this role, you will handle inbound calls, assist with benefit inquiries, and ensure accurate resolutions while delivering a positive customer experience. This is a remote position based out of Philadelphia, PA, starting in January 2026. The role is Contract-to-Hire, offering the opportunity to transition into a permanent position after the initial assignment.

Compensation:
$21.95 per hour

Work Schedule:
The call center operates 7 days a week, and candidates must be available between 8:00 AM – 8:15 PM, with flexibility to work weekends. You will work 5 days per week in 8-hour shifts.


Key Responsibilities of the Healthcare Call Center Representative:

  • Manage a high volume of inbound calls (35–50+ per day), providing accurate information and empathetic support to members
  • Assist with Tier 1 inquiries such as ID cards, benefit details, and basic account questions; escalate complex issues to Tier 2 when necessary
  • Maintain adherence to schedule standards, including timely log-ins, breaks, and lunches
  • Document all interactions accurately and utilize available resources to resolve inquiries effectively
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting quality and performance metrics

Qualifications and Skills for the Healthcare Call Center Representative:

  • Previous customer service experience with strong verbal communication skills
  • Call center experience preferred; healthcare or medical claims experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working on the phone and computer for the entire shift
  • Tech-savvy with strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness
  • Empathetic, positive attitude with active listening and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adapt to different situations and maintain patience under pressure
  • Fast learner, coachable, and able to apply training effectively in day-to-day tasks
